Steward requests (Global permissions)

This page hosts requests for global permissions. To make a request, read the relevant policy (global rollback , global sysop , global rename , …) and make a request below. Explain why membership is needed for that group, and detail prior experience or qualifications.

This is not a vote and any active Wikimedia editor may participate in the discussion.

Global rollback and global interface editor requests require no fewer than 5 days of discussion while abuse filter helper and maintainer requests require no fewer than 7 days. Global renamer and global sysop requests require no fewer than 2 weeks of discussion. For requests that are unlikely to pass under any circumstances, they may be closed by a steward without further discussion (after a reasonable amount of input).

Hello everyone,

I am applying for global rollback rights as I actively combat vandalism using SWViewer. I understand the responsibilities these rights entail and have reviewed the relevant policies on Meta-Wiki. •  Weak oppose per Ternera due to low cross-wiki activity. Global patrolling is slightly different from local patrolling on wikis where one is active and familiar, thus more experience would be needed for GR. I would advise @Gerges to increase their cross-wiki activity using open tools such as TwinkleGlobal and SWViewer and encourage them to re-apply when they have more experience after a month or two. • Neutral This user currently has global rename rights and I haven't seen any concerning or negative behavior from this user recently. I'm staying neutral due to their low cross-wiki activity. If he doesn't get elected, they can use anti-vandalism tools like SWViewer to perform global rollbacks. The user can then candidate if they feel ready.
