Wikimedia MA User Group/Equipment
This page outlines the equipment currently owned by the Wikimedia Morocco User Group (WMA UG) and the process for borrowing these resources. This equipment is intended solely for use in Wikimedia Morocco activities and projects aimed at promoting free knowledge (e.g., documentation for Commons, workshops, edit-a-thons, outreach events). Our goal is to provide transparent access while ensuring responsible use.

Borrowing Policy
[edit]- Eligibility: Only active members of Wikimedia Morocco User Group are eligible to borrow equipment. An active member is someone who has participated in, organized, or coordinated at least one official WMA UG activity (online or offline) within the past 12 months.
- Permitted Use: Equipment must be used exclusively for activities directly supporting Wikimedia projects and the mission of Wikimedia Morocco. Personal use is strictly forbidden.
- Approval: All loan requests are subject to review and approval by the Wikimedia Morocco User Group Board.
- Responsibility: The borrower(s) are fully responsible for the equipment's security and proper use during the loan period.
- Liability: In case of loss, theft, or damage (beyond normal wear), the borrower(s) may be held liable for repair or replacement costs, as determined by the Board. Report any issues immediately.
- Loan Duration: Loans are typically short-term for specific projects. The duration must be specified in the request and approved by the Board.
- Return: Equipment must be returned promptly on the agreed date, clean, complete, and in good working order.
How to Request Equipment
[edit]To make a request:
- Ensure you meet the eligibility criteria in the Borrowing Policy.
- Click Edit on the "Pending Requests" section below.
- Add
{{subst:WMA Equipment Request}}on a new line at the end. - Click Publish changes.
- Edit the section again to fill in the details in the structure that appeared, then Publish changes again.
The WMA UG Board will review requests posted in the "Pending Requests" section.
