I am in China, Turkey, Venezuela, or any other censored place and I want to edit, but I am globally blocked. Please unblock the IP!

[edit]

No Open Proxy (which is our policy) prohibits edits originating from an open proxy or VPN, therefore unless that range is no longer an open proxy, I will not unblock it. That being said, you may be eligible for exceptions.

NOP:

  • The recommended way is to privately email stewards(_AT_)wikimedia.org (direct contact form). You can use any language, we'll do our best. Include:
    1. the IP mentioned in the error message you got,[1][2]
    2. the username you use or would like to use and
    3. the reasons why you think the global block was in error or why you need to use Tor.
