About me
My username, Ridzaina, is coined from the pronunciation of the name Regina, of the Latin origin, which means "Queen" in English. I have a background in Business Education but for now, I pursue my creative interests as a self-taught digital artist and cover art designer and also as a freelance photographer, specializing in street and documentary photography.
I am an avid reader of novels with a very curious mind and I make it a point to acquire at least one new skill every year. I am passionate about learning and sharing knowledge and I strive to give my best to everything I become a part of.
Wikimedia Journey
I started contributing to Wikimedia projects in April, 2021, when I participated in the Wiki Loves SDGs project in Kwara State, Nigeria. I was just an undergraduate with a very curious mind who loved interesting things. Since then, I have participated in several contests and campaigns and have actively contributed to different Wikimedia projects to promote and create visibility for African-related contents, enhance articles, create Wikidata items and promote more visibility for Africa though some of my images on Wikimedia Commons. I am a certified Kiwix4Schools mentor, a member of the Let's Connect community and a rapid fund partner of the Let's Connect Working Group since 2022, and an event/campaign organiser.
