Clarification

Hey @YBG thanks for creating this wish. To confirm - do you use watchlist on mobile web, or in the apps? How would grouping by page on mobile help you and your workflows? JWheeler-WMF (talk) 22:01, 31 July 2025 (UTC)

I work primarily on my phone, but also on my laptop.

Here is my workflow:

1. Open the watchlist. (On my phone, I need to click the [desktop] link at the bottom of the page to get the changes grouped by page.)
2. Examine the changes, starting with the oldest not previously checked.
3. For each page, look at the meta data (bytes, editor, edit summary) to decide if the change merits closer examination. (On my phone, this may require zooming in to counteract the small font of desktop mode.)
4. If necessary, click the appropriate diff link to view either individual changes or the grouped change.
5. Examine the diff and decide if further action is desired, eg, reverting the edit or improving on it. (On my phone, this may require zooming in or changing to mobile mode.)
6. Periodically refresh the watchlist to update the "Changes since last visited" markers. (On my phone, this will require changing back to desktop mode if I have reloaded any page in mobile mode.)
7. Continue to the newer changes until I’ve reached the most recent change.
