Yukitanooki@zh.wikipedia

@Yukitanooki @Hanamitchi @The Squirrel Conspiracy @0xDeadbeef @Manchiu Jackyming 16:49, 11 April 2025 (UTC)
I've already reached out to The Squirrel Conspiracy about my findings. There's no need to forum shop. There's no SPI case on Chinese Wikipedia, so a check on zhwiki would be inappropriate. And Stewards generally can't CU projects with local CUs, so I'm not seeing the point in this request. 0xDeadbeef (talk) 16:51, 11 April 2025 (UTC)
I suppose for multi-project CheckUser checks (as in the case of cross-wiki vandalism), stewards may perform local checks, but I'm not really sure whether involving a steward is really needed. 0xDeadbeef (talk) 17:00, 11 April 2025 (UTC)
Since both parties have CU investigations and the results are inconsistent, I think it is necessary to investigate in Meta. Jackyming 17:06, 11 April 2025 (UTC)
No. I've already reached out to The Squirrel Conspiracy about my findings. 0xDeadbeef (talk) 17:13, 11 April 2025 (UTC)
I know ,You don't have to keep emphasizing this.
(Chinese):我知道,你不需要一直強調這個…… Jackyming 17:17, 11 April 2025 (UTC)
I've blocked and tagged these accounts on enwiki and closed the case. 0xDeadbeef (talk) 17:55, 11 April 2025 (UTC)
This request should be closed, requester is not a SPI Clerk in zhwiki, and should not refer any CU case to here. Also related account has been blocked. aqurs 🍧 03:11, 12 April 2025 (UTC)
Cancel the request. Please help me close this proposal.(I don't know how to do this, or wait for the administrator to close it), Since it is also confirmed in the English Wikipedia, there is no need to investigate. --Jackyming 03:44, 12 April 2025 (UTC)

Request withdrawn by requestor. – Phương Linh (T · C · CA · L · B) 03:53, 12 April 2025 (UTC)

@Hide on Rosé: I understand your good intentions, but I hope that you will not change the status unless you are the person involved in the request. This sometimes makes it cumbersome for stewards to leave comments. --Sotiale (talk) 14:12, 12 April 2025 (UTC)
@Sotiale: Thank you, noted. – Phương Linh (T · C · CA · L · B) 14:15, 12 April 2025 (UTC)

@Jackyming: In general, if a checkuser request is one that can be discussed in the SPI on zhwiki, it is not allowed to request it to SRCU without clerks checking it unless there are very special circumstances. Even if a cross-check is needed, it should generally go through the zhwiki SPI. Alternatively, the checkuser team on commonswiki may request cooperation. So please keep in mind that you should not ignore all the procedures of zhwiki and make your request here like now. --Sotiale (talk) 14:12, 12 April 2025 (UTC)

The status of this request has been temporarily changed to current to prevent bots from automatically archiving discussions. I will mark this request as withdrawn again tomorrow. --Sotiale (talk) 14:15, 12 April 2025 (UTC)
Ok,Please help close this proposal Jackyming 14:17, 12 April 2025 (UTC)
Since all involved parties have confirmed it, I mark it as withdrawn again. --Sotiale (talk) 14:19, 12 April 2025 (UTC)

Househome100@ja.wikibooks

@Tomzo: Hi. Unfortunately, it looks like すじにくシチュー's data has expired on jawikibooks. Are there any other accounts discovered that were recently used by that user? --Sotiale (talk) 14:21, 12 April 2025 (UTC)
@Sotiale: Hi. I see, that makes sense. I guess the originator's record was deleted from jawikibooks because I banned すじにくシチュー(UserA) indefinitely on 2024-09-26. Since then, he has been unable to post to jawikibooks, making it difficult to confirm a match. I have determined that the most recent post to the other project is this post as of 17:58, February 19, 2025 in the commons.
If you still can't analyze it, I'm afraid we have no choice but to monitor his editorial trends in the future. If you don't mind, I'd just like to know if there's a match between UserB and UserC.--Tomzo (talk) 18:07, 12 April 2025 (UTC)
@Tomzo UserB is a temporary account. We cannot make any connection between temporary accounts and regular accounts (except non-publicly to other users with checkuser permissions), because it would indirectly reveal IP addresses of regular accounts. That's similar to how CU are not allowed to make connections between IP edits and accounts, see Ombuds commission/2025/Temporary Accounts. Johannnes89 (talk) 18:48, 12 April 2025 (UTC)
@Johannnes89:Ah, I was under the mistaken impression that CU could tie a temporary account to an IP address. So I withdraw this request. Now I am under the impression that temporary accounts are a feature that makes administration more difficult.--Tomzo (talk) 21:41, 12 April 2025 (UTC)
Why should it be more difficult? It's exactly the same situation as with IP edits. Admins can make (presumed) connections to accounts judging by the behaviour or CU can just block IPs/temporary accounts without stating which account are related. Johannnes89 (talk) 22:05, 12 April 2025 (UTC)

The request itself is handled withdrawn. --Sotiale (talk) 03:34, 13 April 2025 (UTC)

Kuhn Htun Lwin@beta.wikiversity

@Khun Kt: Hi. These seem to be active users in the blkwiki community, could you possibly contact them about this issue? If you don't know them well, I can't do checkuser on this wiki, so other stewards will review this and decide whether to process it or not. --Sotiale (talk) 14:24, 12 April 2025 (UTC)
Any progress on this? AtUkr(talk to me) 15:30, 21 April 2025 (UTC)

Blbj@zh.wikipedia

They technically match two locked accounts, 干木寸犭瓜免 and 最爱春雷2021, thus locked. As for the connection to PandaFiredoge, Inconclusive Inconclusive. EPIC (talk) 20:52, 22 April 2025 (UTC)

  • Unrelated Unrelated both.

From a technical point of view. AramilFeraxa (talk) 10:37, 23 April 2025 (UTC)

What I can add to this case is that "log out editing" should be fully considered. Rastinition (talk) 09:30, 25 April 2025 (UTC)
I did find another account, but I'm pretty confident it's a false positive, as they're on a highly dynamic shared network and using totally different devices. I'm not comfortable to name it here publicly. That aside, I haven't found any other convincing accounts or signs of editing while logged out. XXBlackburnXx (talk) 19:25, 26 April 2025 (UTC)
