Welcome to the Wikimedia Fulfulde Community semi-annual activities documentation page!
- Goals: To strengthen and sustain the Wikimedia Fulfulde Community by improving volunteer retention, building the technical and leadership capacity of existing members, increasing awareness and visibility of Fulfulde Wikipedia, and ensuring continuous support for long-term engagement across Wikimedia projects, including Fulfulde Wikipedia, Wikidata, and Wikimedia Commons..
- When: The planned activities would be held from 00:01, 1 January 2026 (UTC) until 23:59, 30 June 2026 (UTC).
- How: The Activities will be implemented in a structured six-month cycle, with trainings, contests, and engagement activities spaced to allow participants time to practice newly acquired skills.
- Who: Any Wikipedian who speak Fulfulde language, language advocates, students, journalists, librarians, academics and language enthusiasts can become a part of this activities. To participate you need to sign up on the participants section.
- Why: Through these strategic activities, we hope to improved volunteer retention, sustained engagement of community members, strengthened technical and leadership capacity within the community and across the four established hubs/fan clubs, increased awareness and visibility of Fulfulde Wikipedia among Fulfulde-speaking populations and increased editor participation and content creation across Wikimedia projects.
