[edit]Wikipedia@25 in Lafia is a community celebration and skill-building event held in Lafia, Nasarawa State, Nigeria, as part of the global Wikipedia 25th Anniversary celebrations. The event marked 25 years of Wikipedia by combining community celebration with hands-on training focused on improving the connection between Wikipedia and Wikidata.

About the Event
[edit]The event brought together students, local editors, and open knowledge advocates to celebrate Wikipedia’s legacy while equipping participants with practical skills to improve data consistency, references, and article–Wikidata linkages related to Nigerian topics.
Participants reflected on Wikipedia’s impact over the past 25 years and took part in hands-on activities to strengthen structured data and article quality across Wikimedia projects.
