COHORT 2/Learning Structure
[edit]We outlined a learning pathway for members of the Africa Wiki Women Newbie Community. It is designed to help new contributors build foundational skills, confidence, and consistency across Wikimedia projects through guided learning and mentorship support. We keep track of contributions via the Newbies program Dashboard
All participants are expected to:
- Follow the Wikimedia Universal Code of Conduct (UCoC)
- Fill the Mandatory Baseline Survey Form
NEW PHASE OF LEARNING
We designed a structured curriculum in both English and French languages titled: Navigating Wikimedia as a New Contributor, accessible through a web-based mobile-friendly app, learninghub.africawikiwomen.org..
Join our Newbie WhatsApp Community and we'll guide you through the learning process and assign editing tasks appropriately.
Course Structure
[edit]- The learning App: Hosts course content, tracks learner progress, and provides access to learning resources.
- Google Classroom: Organises assignments, discussions, announcements, and cohort management. Google Forms and Google Sheets support assessments and validate learner completion.
