African Health Initiative is an initiative targeted at bridging health content gap in Africa and uniting health editors from Africa in the Wiki space.

Vision
To bridge the health content gap in Africa in the free movement, and to recruit health professionals as editors, who will actively contribute to the campaign against preventable diseases in Africa.
Objectifs
- To bridge the health knowledge gap in Africa
- To devise ways to provide support for new health editors in Africa
- To identify challenges and solutions to false health information on-wiki and in Africa entirely

Terminé March 2025 Visibility of Health articles on English Wikipedia 2.0 : This project created awareness and bridge the knowledge gap of health content in Nigeria between 8th of March, 2025 to 8th of April, 2025. Notable contents such as Heatwave in Nigeria, Cancer awareness in Nigeria and 50 other articles were created on English Wikipedia.- Terminé April 2024 Wiki and Health articles in Nigeria: This was the first project of the initiative that raise awareness about preventable diseases in Africa with focus on Nigeria between created awareness and bridge the knowledge gap of health content in Nigeria between 27th of April, 2024 to 7th of June, 2024.
- Terminé November 2025 Fellowship program for health editors in Africa: The fellowship is a capacity building of 22 health professionals across 11 countries in Africa and the inauguration of fellows of health editors in Africa, a first of its kind between 26th of November, 2025 to 31 January 2026.
