This page is for requesting CheckUser information on a wiki with no local CheckUsers (see also requesting checkuser access). Make sure to follow the following instructions, or your request may not be processed in a timely manner.

Before making a request:

  1. Make sure you have a good reason for the check. It will only be accepted to counter vandalism or disruption to Wikimedia wikis. Valid reasons include needing a block of the underlying IP or IP range, disruptive sockpuppetry, vote-stacking, and similar disruption where the technical evidence from running a check would prevent or reduce further disruption.
  2. Be specific in your reasons. Ambiguous or insufficient reasons will cause delays. Explain the disruption and why you believe the accounts are related, ideally using diff links or other evidence.
  3. Make sure there are no local checkusers.
  4. Please ensure that the check hasn't already been done:

How to make a request

How to make a request:

  • Place your request at the bottom of the section, using the template below (see also {{srcu}} help).
    === Username@xx.project ===
    {{CU request
     |status          = <!--don't change this line-->
     |language code   =
     |project shortcut=
     |user name1      =
     |user name2      =
     |user name3      =
    <!-- Add more if necessary -->
     |discussion      = [[Example]]<!-- local confirmation link / local policy link -->
     |reason          = Reasons here. ~~~~
    }}

    For example:

    === Example@en.wikipedia ===
    {{CU request
     |status          = <!--don't change this line-->
     |language code   = en
     |project shortcut= w
     |user name1      = Example
     |user name2      = Foo
     |user name3      = Bar
    <!-- Add more if necessary -->
     |discussion      = [[:w:en:Example]]<!-- local confirmation link / local policy link -->
     |reason          = Reasons here. ~~~~
    }}

  • Specify the wiki(s) you want to perform the check on.

 Confirmed 082kobecnwts, Boewsdre496 and Realgifts888. Hgkh8182 shares some datas, but I still need a second opinion before saying anything.‴ Teles (T@ L C S) 07:05, 18 March 2012 (UTC)reply
Hgkh8182 and Qinhaid8 have similar patterns and apparently they are more close. Their relation between others is possible, but can't be confirmed.‴ Teles (T@ L C S) 18:22, 18 March 2012 (UTC)reply

Selena Gomez fan - there is no user with such a name. Ruslik (talk) 08:16, 19 March 2012 (UTC)reply
It probably means to check if Мәңгілік is Selena Gomez fan (xwiki vandal). Bencmq (talk) 08:28, 19 March 2012 (UTC)reply

Spambots on small wikis

Status:    Done

I've blocked the following accounts locally, based on the filter log:

Please consider investigating them. Mathonius (talk) 22:40, 19 March 2012 (UTC)reply

Potential spambots

Status:    Done

The following accounts have been created recently (on various small wikis) and match the obvious pattern. I'm afraid we could be expecting another spambot attack:

On na.wikipedia
On bxr.wikipedia
On ik.wikipedia
On ki.wikipedia

Please investigate those as well. Mathonius (talk) 22:40, 19 March 2012 (UTC)reply

Done on ki.wiki and bxr.wiki --Vituzzu (talk) 22:59, 19 March 2012 (UTC)reply

Thank you both very much. Mathonius (talk) 23:16, 19 March 2012 (UTC)reply

Titleturns@zh.wikipedia

Possible Possible. It is certain that Titleturns = Downviews = Onceburst; their CU data concords with what I can see from the older sockpuppets, but their geographical localization differs from them, although it is likely that they used an open proxy. Elfix 12:42, 21 March 2012 (UTC)reply
Thank you. Since the contributions of these users are exactly the same as KellyMok's, I believe all should be the same person. He may be trying new ways to avoid getting caught. Here's a list of new users which we believe are sockpuppets of him: zh:User:Wentideas, zh:User:Thateggssgs, zh:User:Learndelaydvs, zh:User:Plussign, zh:User:Localrules11, zh:User:‎Overweekan, zh:User:Noiseidea. And I've one more that was checked once in the past, but there is some confusion about the result, is it possible to check again whether the following user is related to KellyMok? zh:User:Belovekk. The confusion is that the previous CU result [6] show that Belovekk is unrelated, but there was allegedly another request that show that Belovekk uses the same IP and User Agent as KellyMok. Thanks again. --Miroir (talk) 23:02, 22 March 2012 (UTC)reply

龙子孙四光光@zh.wikipedia

Possible Possible: they contribute from the same geographical region, but each account does not seem to use the same machine as the others. Do you have any recent accounts from User:Kleuske/Huang Xianfan? Elfix 15:49, 22 March 2012 (UTC)reply
