Smitten Kitten

[edit]

This page represents a copyright violation in its current form - it includes the entire cartoon. This needs to be trimmed down to at most 2 quotes. Thanks. ~ UDScott (talk) 15:20, 19 March 2026 (UTC)Reply

Extra categories

[edit]

Just a tip: if a page already has a category like [[Category:1944 animated films]], then it does not need to also have [[Category:1944 films]]. The first category is already a subcategory of the second one - so it is redundant to have both. The more specific category of [[Category:1944 animated films]] should stay and the other should be removed. Thanks. ~ UDScott (talk) 12:42, 31 March 2026 (UTC)Reply

Again, please stop adding extra categories that are redundant and not needed. Thank you. ~ UDScott (talk) 13:05, 2 April 2026 (UTC)Reply

There aren't quotes of this episode on IMDB. Hhrlan23 (talk) 20:03, 17 July 2026 (UTC)Reply

Film year categories

[edit]

Just a quick note: there's no need to add a category like [[Category:1958 films]] if a page already has [[Category:1958 American films]]. These categories are redundant (since the second one is already a subcategory of the first one). Also if it has [[Category:1950s American films]], that category could also be removed for similar reasons. Thanks. ~ UDScott (talk) 19:10, 22 July 2026 (UTC)Reply

Categories

[edit]

I'll try again - the many categories you are adding to pages are creating a lot of cleanup work because you are often adding redundant categories, without removing what is already there. An example is adding [[Category:2005 American films]] without also removing [[Category:2005 films]]. Please remember that if categories are subcategories that when add them, you should be removing higher level categories that cause this redundancy. I've tried to go back and clean up many of these pages, but I see that you are continuing to add and the list of needed cleanup keeps growing. If any opf this is confusing to you, please reach out for help. Thanks. ~ UDScott (talk) 12:50, 27 July 2026 (UTC)Reply

I have tried to explain why these categories are redundant (they are not needed), and I've been going back to clean them up. But now you are reverting my changes. Please refrain from doing so (and continuing to add such categories to pages). If you continue, you will be blocked. ~ UDScott (talk) 15:13, 27 July 2026 (UTC)Reply

Hey, I just noticed that you reverted my edit where I marked it as a VFD nominee. You previously did that twice when I nominated a page of yours for deletion (Is This Goodbye, Charlie Brown?) so I want to remind you kindly: never, ever, EVER remove VFD nomination notices if it is added (especially if the page hasn't been deleted at all). 03isrflo62410 (talk) 02:19, 17 August 2026 (UTC)Reply

Small comment

[edit]

Thanks for your work, especially on categories for films. Just one small comment: you don't need to capitalize "IMDB" in the link. While I know the site has it capitalized, the template for that recognizes either lowercase or capitalized (and in most templates, we just use lowercase), so you don't really need to do the work of changing it on individual film pages. No biggie - just didn't want you to worry about them. ~ UDScott (talk) 00:37, 19 August 2026 (UTC)Reply

Look, IMDb needs to be capitalized, and the website always has it that way, all right? Hhrlan23 (talk) 00:46, 19 August 2026 (UTC)Reply

Feel free - I was just letting you know that it's not necessary to save you some work (since that's how templates are designed). But have at it if you feel it is something you need to do. ~ UDScott (talk) 12:12, 19 August 2026 (UTC)Reply
