(School bell rings)

Lola: (voiceover) Every year, it’s weird going back to school. Seeing each other face-to-face again, but at least I have my best friends, Janice and Emily. We’re in slo-mo, ‘cause that’s how all the hot girls always show up. Just kidding. We just wanna look like we don’t care. Especially in front of the guys.

(Lola kisses a guy named Chad)

Lola: (voiceover) And this is not me caring. And that’s Janice and Lloyd, pretending to be very complicated. And Wen, well, nobody seems to care about him.
Wen: Hello, what’s happening?
Lola: (voiceover) But when it comes to friendship, and I mean real friendship, like with me and Kyle, you can officially care and just be yourself. Oh, and her… We call her the Post-it, because she sticks to every guy and pretends that she loves them. Whatever. All I know is I’m sick of all the pretending. The truth is I just wanna have a great year. Just like last year when I fell in love with Chad.
Lola: “Forever.” (She kissed Chad)

Lola: (voiceover) Speaking of forever, that’s how long Kyle and I have been friends.

(The train stops and the doors slide open)

Kyle: I’m here. (laughing, getting on the train and hugging Lola)
Lola: (voiceover) I hope it always stays that way.

Lola: (voiceover) Anyway, here we are just going with the flow. Trying to love, live and laugh out loud. Which is nice, ‘cause my name is Lola, but everyone calls me Lol.

Lola: (voiceover) I can’t love him, but I do. I feel so real with him. If he figures it out, it will totally ruin our friendship. Okay, I’m just gonna have to hide it.

Kyle: Hey, Lol? Maybe we should… um… you know. I-I don’t want Chad to get the wrong idea.
Lola: He’s so jealous.
Kyle: I don’t blame him.
Lola: Well, I’m flattered you still want to hang out with me.
Kyle: Um, I love hanging out with you.
Lola: Go. (pushing him)
Kyle: Okay, I’ll see you later.
Lola: See you later.

Lola: It’s so good to love someone so much that it hurts. I don’t know how people survive this. Honestly, I don’t.
