Eight Below is a 2006 survival drama film about three Antarctic scientists are forced to evacuate during a brutal winter storm, leaving behind their eight loyal sled dogs. The movie follows the dogs' harrowing, six-month struggle to survive the harsh wilderness and the relentless efforts of their heartbroken guide (Paul Walker) to mount a rescue mission.

Directed by Frank Marshall. Written by David DiGillio. Based on the 1983 Japanese film Antarctica by Toshirô Ishidô, Koreyoshi Kurahara, Koreyoshi Kurahara and Susumu Saji.
