I agree with Smihael, I have been using Navigation popups for a long time, and would like for all the functionality of popups to (eventually) be supported by Hovercards.
That is the goal, for now we're working on making it easy for users to quickly and easily choose which one they want, navigation popups, hovercards or no contextual popups at all.
