Hi there. This was fixed in r855151 which was released as part of the 1.39.0 release of MediaWiki (and 1.38.5+). This suggests that the wiki you were browsing tried to upgrade their code in-place rather than use a release, and missed this patch. Unfortunately there's not much we can do in these cases (other than encourage them to upgrade to the new LTS version, 1.43.0, next week when it comes out).
