Scope

[edit]

We are the stewards of the platform that powers Wikipedia and its sister projects. This includes MediaWiki core, selected services and extensions in Wikimedia production that we consider to be core to the platform. Extensions or platform components that are in the realm of more specialized teams are commonly maintained by the respective teams (examples: Visual Editor -> Editing team; Watchlist -> Moderator Tools). You can learn more about what parts our group of teams own via the Maintainers page.

If you need our help with something, please follow our intake process here.
