Recent rename

[edit]

Hi, Alexis. Apologies if I've missed something, but can you point out where Special:CentralAuth/FootAdd!ct requested a rename from "PornAdd!ct" to "FootAdd!ct" specifically? There's no request from them at Special:GlobalRenameQueue/closed nor any edits from them on frwiki or Wikidata that indicated they wanted to be renamed to that specific username. Thanks, //shb (tc) 12:37, 11 August 2026 (UTC)Reply

Hello @SHB2000,
The request was made via email following his block on frwiki for violating the rules regarding usernames.
I went directly through Special:GlobalRenameUser to avoid having to submit a request that I would have approved anyway.
If that was not the proper procedure and it was mandatory to go through the waiting list, I apologize, and it won't happen again.
Best regards . Aelxen Équipe EBRC 12:45, 11 August 2026 (UTC)Reply
Hey, email is fine – as long as they've properly requested a rename somewhere, that's all that matters :) (though do try mention it in the summary in future). From the logs, it just looked strange since there was no visible request or mention. Cheers, //shb (tc) 12:50, 11 August 2026 (UTC)Reply
No problem, next time I'll mention it in the reason for the request. Aelxen Équipe EBRC 12:54, 11 August 2026 (UTC)Reply
