Grupos de Usuários da Wikimedia são grupos compostos por usuários da Wikimedia que decidiram ajudar e promover projetos da Wikimedia no mundo real organizando encontros e outros projetos. Grupos de usuários podem ou podem não ser entidades corporativas legais. Como a Wikimedia Foundation, têm como objetivo "fortalecer e engajar pessoas ao redor do mundo para coletar e desenvolver conteúdo educacional em licença livre ou de domínio público, e para disseminar isso efetiva e globalmente". 143 é o número de grupos que existem atualmente no mundo.

Wikimedia Ísland User group of Wikimedians in Iceland. There have been plans about founding an official chapter since 2007 but these have been inactive for several years. Local Wikimedians have revived these efforts in the form of a Wikimedia User Group which is a more suitable form of organizing smaller numbers of Wikimedians.
