Inteligencia artificial

La inteligencia artificial se ha utilizado en diversas áreas del movimiento Wikimedia, desde la traducción hasta la detección de la calidad de las ediciones. En 2022, el gran interés en ChatGPT dio lugar a una investigación más profunda sobre el uso del aprendizaje automático y los large language models (LLM) en la creación de contenido Wikimedia.

Iniciativas actuales

• Lift Wing, el modelo de aprendizaje automático de la Fundación Wikimedia que sirve a la infraestructura, implementado como parte de un esfuerzo de Modernización del aprendizaje automático alrededor de 2023
• Aprendizaje automático Página de inicio del equipo de aprendizaje automático de la Fundación Wikimedia (incluye actualizaciones públicas sobre el trabajo en curso en la infraestructura de aprendizaje automático)
• Machine learning models : Directory of model cards for model hosted on WMF servers
• ORES: servicio de aprendizaje automático más antiguo de la Fundación Wikimedia (lanzado alrededor de 2015), que se está dejando de usar en favor de Lift Wing
• Future Audiences es una iniciativa de la Fundación Wikimedia centrada en pequeños experimentos para orientar futuras inversiones. Una de sus dos áreas clave en el año fiscal 2023/24 fueron los experimentos con IA conversacional o generativa. Organizan videoconferencias mensuales abiertas al movimiento y a cualquier persona interesada en participar.
