This event aligns with the Wikimedia movement’s goal of promoting knowledge equity, ensuring that women’s voices and stories are heard, valued, and preserved. It’s also a celebration of International Women’s Day as a moment of reflection, progress, and commitment to building a more inclusive and just world.

Rapid Fund Request : Not Funded

[edit]

Hello, thank you for submitting your Rapid Fund request.

We appreciate your willingness to contribute to the Wikimedia Movement. We have completed the initial review of your application and we decided to not fund it.  While we are keen to supporting newcomers in implementing project ideas like this one, we see the benefit of working closely with established communities such as the Igbo Wikimedians UG and especially in ensuring you have access to the capacities and resources needed. We also find with this application a misalignment between the resources being requested and the proposed impact.

We recommend that you reach out to them and maybe collaborate with them on existing similar projects.
