Wikiesfera Grupo de Usuarixs is a recognised Wikimedia user group that aims to identify and correct the gaps in knowledge representation, and also seeks to increase the number of editors who belong to minorities, underrepresented groups, or other social groups who have not had access to information technologies. Working language is Spanish.

Objectives

  • Retrieve any lost historical memories in oppressed societies
  • Create a strong and involved network, particularly offline
  • Support efforts to increase content and contributor diversity on Wikimedia projects, with a focus on Spanish-speaking ones
  • Organize offline activities such as meetups and conferences related to our mission
