Check user for vandal on vls wikipedia
The West-Flemish Wikipedia is a rather small wikipedia with a very limited number of sysops/admin. Today, it's been vandalized by the same user :vls:User:Quantumdood, :vls:User:Weertje, :vls:User:Alternatief, :vls:User:Wielewalter, :vls:User:Vandanaal, after the creation and removal of an article about what is :en:High Icelandic on the English WP. Check the recent changes from october 6 .

This seems a man, name Braekmans, the creator of High Icelandic, and a user who has been active on many wikipedia's, esp. the Dutch :nl: and English one for over a year now. An example of his edits on the VLS-wiki. The problem is: this guy has been active on different wikipedia's for over a year, throwing around heavy personnal attacks, vandalizing, and threateing wikipedia. (An example from the English wikipedia from a couple of months ago... albeit in Dutch ).

I believe these usernames originate from the same IP adress, probably 84.x.x.x, located in Belgium, part of the IP range of Telenet. Normally, users can be simply blocked, period, and there's no need the further identify them (although the VLS-wiki has limited admin resources, but well, that's our problem). This however is still continuing after a year cross-wiki (the user himself once declared "war on wikipedia") with what seems very bad abuse on different Wikipedia projects, and the least we can do is send a message to the ISP, who might take appropriate actions (or not). Possibly, a similar request has been done before (I've asked around on the NL-wiki, I believe :nl:User:MADe kept a record, I might provide more information the following days). If it proves to be another address, he probably has changed, or someone else has taken over the roll. Anyway, I hope this proves to be a valid reason.

Note: I don't know what the legal regulations are around the Wikimedia projects. My request does indeed ask for the IP of a registered user. I don't know if this can be provided here in public, or in private email, or if someone else can send some standard abuse report. Anyway, if someone could help out, I would be gratefull, otherwise, well, too bad, but that's all I can do about it.

If there are no users with CheckUser rights on your project, and you wish for information on an editor or an IP address, please make a public request on this page, or contact a steward privately via email or IRC.

Stewards: All requests should be archived when fulfilled.

Current requests

Please, when adding new requests, be sure to specify the wiki on which you want the check to be performed. Note also that the German Wikipedia now has a local checkuser procedure. Accordingly, checkuser information on this wiki should be requested here. Thanks.

Check user Sahands

According to your policy "Where the user has been vandalising pages or persistently behaving in a disruptive way, data may be released to assist in the targeting of IP blocks, or to assist in the formulation of a complaint to relevant Internet Service Providers." I ask you to check the IP address of the uesr Sahand who made several criminal death-threats to me and my family, and threats of bodily harm. The IP is needed to help his university (University of Ontario Institute of Technology) to track him down because he is in direct violation of their fair use policies in addition to committing felony crime on Wikipedia. In case he has used some other ISP and is not from the University, then the IP will be needed anyway to complain to that ISP which surely will have it's own fair use policies. I am doing this as a way to avoid opening a full police investigation and to go through the appropriate service provider channels. I do not wish him the harm of a full blown police case even though he might deserve it. You can email me at jkorkala@gmail.com with the information.

In Wikipedia, administrators handled him by blocking his write access indefinitely after the threats kept on escalating. Information on the case may be found in wikipedia under his user name, my user name and the appropriate administrative boards.

Thank you in advance,

User:Jk-BMW on Wikipedia.org

Check user action across domains

Needed check for s:cs:User:Kiki and s:cs:User:Zacheus who vandalised the Czech Wikisource today. We guess they are sockpuppets of the arbitred and blocked account w:cs:Wikipedista:Vít Zvánovec. He created some sockpuppets on the cs.wiki, like wc:s:User:Daniel Vocelka hw vandalised there in last days; his sockpuppet was checked positively by w:cs:User:Wikimol (checkuser). I request hereby to check whether the Users s:cs:User:Kiki and s:cs:User:Zacheus are identical with the User w:cs:Wikipedista:Vít Zvánovec.
By the way, I assume, the it is the same m:User:Zacheus and w:en:User:Zacheus who tried to change blocked pages of w:en:User:Vít Zvánovec and m:Requests for comments/Cswiki issues 2 in last days several times. The user announced juristical steps against one of mine admin. As we are quite sure there will be other attacks next time, I will request the check user status for me on the Czech Wikisource, but for today we need somebody to help. Thanks much for help. -jkb- 17:39, 24 September 2006 (UTC) (also: s:cs:User:-jkb- - sysop bureaucrat).reply

Thank you much. Now I see my incorrect link above - the checked sockpuppet is not wc:s:User:Daniel Vocelka but w:cs:User:Daniel Vocelka. -jkb- 09:20, 3 October 2006 (UTC)reply

Check user for vandal on vls wikipedia

The West-Flemish Wikipedia is a rather small wikipedia with a very limited number of sysops/admin. Today, it's been vandalized by the same user vls:User:Quantumdood, vls:User:Weertje, vls:User:Alternatief, vls:User:Wielewalter, vls:User:Vandanaal, after the creation and removal of an article about what is en:High Icelandic on the English WP. Check the recent changes from october 6 [1].

This seems a man, name Braekmans, the creator of High Icelandic, and a user who has been active on many wikipedia's, esp. the Dutch nl: and English one for over a year now. An example of his edits [2] on the VLS-wiki. The problem is: this guy has been active on different wikipedia's for over a year, throwing around heavy personnal attacks, vandalizing, and threateing wikipedia. (An example from the English wikipedia from a couple of months ago... albeit in Dutch [3]).

Possibly, a similar request has been done before (I've asked around on the NL-wiki, I believe nl:User:MADe kept a record, I might provide more information the following days). If it proves to be another address, he probably has changed, or someone else has taken over the roll. Anyway, I hope this proves to be a valid reason.
