Aims, framework

On the occasion of the “digital month November” the Goethe-Institut Bulgaria stages the Eastern European Edit-a-thon. The Edit-a-thon will take place the 10th of November. Our aim is to answer all the questions about Wikipedia.

Participants from Serbia, Ukraine, Romania, Macedonia, Greece and of course Bulgaria are interested to share their knowledge with newbies, so in the end of the day they will be able to write their first article in Wikipedia. Goethe-Institut Bulgaria announces an open call for participation in the Eastern European Edit-a-thon, which will take place on Saturday, November 10th 2018, at Goethe-Institut in Sofia.

For the Edit-a-thon we are cooperating with Wikipedians from Bulgarian Wikipedia, and Global Libraries Bulgaria Foundation.

Subject of the Edit-a-thon will be “European Heirlooms”. Aim of the day is to write and edit articles which should cover issues of European history, heritage or culture. Focus should be on the subject of libraries.
