‘Our world has changed’ is a statement that we hear quite often. Our lives through Covid-19 pandemic has made us repeat and reflect this particular statement in a more intentional manner. While we are aware of the things that have changed, are we also aware of the impact that these changes have brought and continue to bring on our lives?

If you are planning to attend a Wikimedia Technology Summit in Hyderabad, India, here are some tips and guidelines to help you make the most of your experience:
Efforts that have been made towards ensuring access to accurate, credible information during the pandemic have received accolades and are being heralded as the virtue of an interconnected network (read internet). How did these interconnected network/s (online and offline) come to be developed? Has it always been developed and shaped by large multinational companies? The Internet that was seen and marketed as a place for entertainment, profit making initiatives and contentious debates is also being acknowledged for its fight against mis-information, ensuring last mile access, providing platform/s for underrepresented voices.

'''Travel arrangements''': Hyderabad has a busy airport, and you may need to arrange for transportation from the airport to IIIT campus. If you need any assistance with travel arrangements, contact the conference organizers.
These virtues are either of minimal impact or in their nascent stage of evolution. What is the role of a society that is invested in the internet to develop these capabilities further? What critical questions do we ask of our individual efforts and of collective organisations in shaping an equitable, safe and rewarding internet. How can our good intentions and actions of providing educational resources, building idealistic ventures and constructive partnerships navigate the questions of bias, harassment and nefarious dealings by the powerful?

'''Registration''': Make sure to register for the summit online and received confirmation from WTS team before the event. registration is mandatory and only registered participants will be allowed entry to the summit venue at IIIT Hyderabad
Wikimedia Technology Summit 2023 aims to bring these questions, have discussions that will build long lasting partnerships, provide necessary support for emerging ideas and engage in honest conversations about our limits and possible superpowers that can be used for greater good.

'''Venue and schedule''': Check the conference website https://indicwiki.iiit.ac.in/summit-2023/ or contact the organizers to get information about the venue, schedule, and sessions. Plan your itinerary in advance, so you don't miss any important sessions or events.

'''Networking''': Take advantage of the networking opportunities at the Wikimedia Technology Summit to meet other participants and build your professional network. Bring business cards and be prepared to introduce yourself and your work.
