== Welcome to Wikimedia CEE Hub! ==

<big>Wikimedia CEE Hub is a regional support structure for Wikimedia communities in Central and Eastern Europe. It exists to strengthen collaboration between affiliates, user groups, and volunteers, and to ensure more equitable access to resources, knowledge, and opportunities across the region. The Hub is part of the wider Wikimedia movement and works in alignment with the principles of decentralisation, collaboration, and community self-determination.</big>

== The CEE Hub team ==

The CEE Hub is organised into four main levels: the Steering Committee, staff team, working groups, and the Advisory Group.

The [[Wikimedia CEE Hub/Steering Committee|Steering Committee]] is the main governance body responsible for strategic decisions and overall direction of the Hub. It is appointed by the community during the annual Wikimedia CEE Meeting and represents different countries and communities from the region.

The [[Wikimedia CEE Hub/Staff|staff team]] is responsible for the daily implementation of the Hub’s work. It includes four roles: Regional CEE Hub Coordinator, Community & Communications Specialist, Program Specialist, and Grants Specialist. Together, the team supports coordination, communication, programme delivery, and grant-related activities.

[[CEE Hub/Working Groups|Working groups]] bring together Steering Committee members, staff, and community members to work on specific topics such as communication, governance, technical development, or regional cooperation.

The [[Wikimedia CEE Hub/CEE Hub group|CEE Hub Advisory Group]] is an open participation space for anyone interested in following and contributing to the Hub’s work. It supports transparency and ensures continuous community involvement in decision-making processes.

== Initiatives of the CEE Hub ==

The work of the Wikimedia CEE Hub is structured around three main pillars that define how we support Wikimedia communities across the region.
