::It is [[en:WP:UCS|common sense]] if there is an email attached to an account and [[Special:EmailUser]] shows you can email them, then it should be done. This practice is being followed from as long as I remember. [https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wikipedia:Changing_username/Assistance#Usurpations Assistance page on enwiki] mention how such request should be handled. Since you got the flag just a month ago, I recommend observing these common practice on SRUC before actioning the requests as mishandled usurpation requests can lead to someone losing their username. Hey there. I noticed you are on the [[Wikiproject:Antispam/Contacts/List|antispam contacts list]], so wanted to reach out. I recently completed an [[:en:User:Grnrchst/David Woodard report|investigation into a massive cross-wiki spam operation]], in which a network of accounts and IP proxies created hundreds of articles about [[:zh:大卫·伍达德|David Woodard]] and [https://zh.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?fulltext=1&search=%22%E5%A4%A7%E5%8D%AB%C2%B7%E4%BC%8D%E8%BE%BE%E5%BE%B7%22&title=Special:%E6%90%9C%E7%B4%A2&ns0=1 push his name into several other articles]. The Chinese Wikipedia (as well as the [[:zh-yue:大衛·活特|Yue]] and [[:wuu:大卫·伍达德|Wu wikis]]) was also affected by this, with the account {{user2|Swmmng}} creating the Chinese and Cantonese articles, presumably using a poor-quality machine translation. The global stewards have already deleted more than 200 articles from the smaller Wikipedias, and individual Wikipedia projects have started deleting or opening deletion discussions on their own articles. In my [[Steward requests/Global permissions/2025-06#Global rollback for Dr.üsenfieber%7Clast|RfP]] a couple of months ago you recommended to me waiting for the temporary account feature to be rolled out globally. Now that it is rolled out i can no longer detect vandalism like [[wikidata:User:Dr.%C3%BCsenfieber/Temporary_Accounts|this]].As far as I can see the foundation still does not provide a possibility to see IPs globally without having at least global rollback permission. :Perhaps I can help you. As your activity is mainly limited to Wikidata, it should be sufficient, to request that permission locally. But 27 edits at [[:wikidata:Wikidata:Administrators' noticeboard]] during ~12 years do not demonstrate regular antivandalism-activitiy.
