== About Culture Crawl of ESEAP Conference 2026 Kaohsiung ==

Join us for a culture crawl through Hamasen, one of Kaohsiung’s most historically significant districts.

Developed in the early 20th century as a key port and railway hub, the area reflects an important period of Taiwan’s modernization. Its name comes from the Japanese “浜線” (Hamasen), referring to the coastal railway line that once connected the harbor. This walk offers a chance to better understand how Kaohsiung’s urban identity was shaped through this history.

Specially invited students from National Kaohsiung University of Hospitality and Tourism will serve as local guides for this activity. To ensure a high-quality guided experience, each session is limited to 20 participants. The activity will be offered on all three days of the conference—please choose one day to join and sign up early to secure your spot.

The itinerary is the same on all three days, so please '''sign up for only one session'''. In case of duplicate sign-ups, others may cross out any one of the duplicate entries and add their own name.

All registered participants '''must confirm their attendance or cancel at the service desk by 12:00 on the day''' of the activity. If a participant cancels or fails to check in, available spots will be offered to people on the waiting list between 12:00 and 13:40, with staff contacting them in order through the Telegram.

Participants who secure a spot are asked to '''gather at the venue’s ground-floor (1F) main entrance 10 minutes before the scheduled departure time''', as the listed time refers to the group’s light rail departure. Volunteers will guide participants on foot to the station, and the group will leave together 10 minutes beforehand.
