Kenya's territory lies on the [[w:equator|equator]] and overlies the [[w:East African Rift|East African Rift]] covering a diverse and expansive terrain that extends roughly from [[w:Lake Victoria|Lake Victoria]] to [[w:Lake Turkana|Lake Turkana]] (formerly called [[w:Lake Rudolph|Lake Rudolf]]) and further south-east to the [[w:Indian Ocean|Indian Ocean]]. * One major problem in Africa from a [[Capitalism|capitalist]] viewpoint was how to induce Africans to become [[laborers]] or [[w:Cash-crop|cash-crop]] [[farmers]].
