Developer Experience consists of five teams:

The group's principal engineer is Bryan Davis (bd808). Product Management support is provided by Chris Ciufo.

Scope

[edit]

The Developer Experience group supports the systems, workflows and processes that enable Wikimedia developers to develop, build, test, and deploy code - with the goal to do so fast, reliably, and with confidence. This includes deployment (Scap, Spiderpig), code hosting (Gerrit/Gitlab) and CI/CD tools, developer collaboration tooling (Phabricator, Patchdemo) and the Toolforge platform. The group also provides consultancy and hands-on support across engineering teams to improve software quality, and aims to make technical documentation easy to find, use, create, and maintain.
