Community Forum

This extension provides the mechanism to notify users about wiki events in the wiki and in email. It replaces the MediaWiki standard notifications extension Echo.

Note: This extension requires ProcessManager.

Usage

Registered wiki users receive notifications for a variety of changes to the wiki. Users can subscribe to different types of notifications.

Installation

• Add the repo url (https://github.com/wikimedia/mediawiki-extensions-NotifyMe

.git) as a "vcs repository" and the package name (mediawiki/NotifyMe) and version to the require section of your composer.local.json. Example:

• Run the following command in your MediaWiki installation path

composer update --no-dev

• Add the following code at the bottom of your LocalSettings.php file:

wfLoadExtension( 'NotifyMe' );

• Done Navigate to Special:Version on your wiki to verify that the extension is successfully installed.
