Nominations for adminship

I would like to nominate the following people be made sysops unless there are any objections. All but Kalki are sysops elsewhere and all have made substantial contributions to Wikisource. I have not seen any of these people abusing Wikiquette here so I'm sure they will be great sysops. With the mixed languages at Wikisource, I think it is important to have a large number of sysops so that newcomers have someone they can turn to in their own language. • Arno would be a great choice. Seconded. --Maveric149 03:05, 17 Jan 2004 (UTC)
    • It could be OK. At the moment I did the biggest part of the eo-part. ArnoLagrange 13:38, 17 Jan 2004 (UTC)
  • Formulax
    • Seconded. --Maveric149 03:05, 17 Jan 2004 (UTC)
    • Thanks for your nomination, but I'm afraid that I can't accept it because I don't have time. Chinese Wikipedia has already taken up much of my time:(.--Formulax 13:33, 17 Jan 2004 (UTC)
  • Samuel
    • Seconded. --Maveric149 03:05, 17 Jan 2004 (UTC)
    • Thanks for the nomination. I will keep my eyes on the Chinese sources here. But my main focus will still be Chinese wiki, is that okay? --Samuel 02:11, 29 Jan 2004 (UTC)
  • Schewek
    • Thanks for the nomination. My main contribution will still go to the german WP, I will have a look here every second day or so. If that is ok with everybody, let me know -- Schewek 16:06, 19 Jan 2004 (UTC)

  • Maveric149
    • I accept the nomination but I'm not around here much I'm afraid. But I would like to be able to help localize the interface a bit more. I can also be contacted on my Wikipedia user talk page for vandal ban requests. --Maveric149 03:05, 17 Jan 2004 (UTC)
  • Menchi
    • Obvious choice. Seconded. --Maveric149 03:05, 17 Jan 2004 (UTC)
    • Like mav and Minh, I know I won't work here much. But if I have a hand + a moment, I'll give the help gladly! I accept. --Menchi 08:09, 18 Jan 2004 (UTC)
  • Mxn
    • Thank you for the nomination, but I expect schoolwork to take up most of my time, and I tend to work primarily on the Vietnamese Wikipedia and Wikibooks. If this is still alright with everyone, I accept. I'll still stay around here to maintain the vi front page, and maybe contribute Vietnamse sources as I encounter them. – Minh Nguyen 21:27, 17 Jan 2004 (UTC)
  • Yann
    • But of course! Seconded. --Maveric149 03:05, 17 Jan 2004 (UTC)
    • I accept the nomination. Thanks. Yann 14:33, 17 Jan 2004 (UTC)

Requests for adminship

As discussed before, I've put my name down on Brion's things-to-do page but he hasn't noticed yet. Eclecticology 03:13, 17 Jan 2004 (UTC)

Ask Tim. But I'm getting a bit tired of this whole developer bottleneck thing. I mean all it takes is a single damn query of the database! Phase II had an interface for Admin's to promote/demote any user. I don't see why that isn't reimplemented. It sure would save the developers a lot of time doing this themselves and save the wikis a lot of grief waiting for ages for approved candidates to be sysoped. --Maveric149 12:15, 18 Jan 2004 (UTC)~
