Wikisource is a growing collection of primary source texts in any language, as well as translations of source texts.
Most of the texts on Wikisource are in the public domain and not protected by any copyright or license. However, some are copyrighted and available under the .
Wikisource is part of the and is a sister site of , the free encyclopedia. Wikisource primary sources can often be used in conjunction with Wikipedia's encyclopedia articles.
How can I get involved?
On Wikisource, you can add or edit source texts whenever you want, whether you are logged in or not.
Don't be afraid to add source texts as long as they are in the public domain or they are available under the . It doesn't matter what language the text is in!
People are constantly improving Wikisource by completing current texts or adding new texts. The recent changes page lists some of the most recent of these edits. So far we have 65,751 pages of primary sources!
