Hello, and welcome to my userpage on Coptic Wikisource!

...My name is Troy, and I'm a Coptic Orthodox Christian.

I edit on many wikis, the full list of which can be found here. For nearly two years since, I have been contributing to each individual wiki, some more actively than others. The following sections describe more about the wikis that I am most active on.

English Wikipedia

My English Wikipedia user page can be found on Wikipedia here. The first wikimedia project that I have registered on is the English Wikipedia, where I have been active since July, 2007 on many articles. I have a particular interest in the Coptic language, of which there are several sandboxes on my user page to experiment with the Coptic bible, the Lord's Prayer in Coptic, Coptic unicode test pages, and so forth. I also revert vandalism and file sock puppetry cases from time to time.

Coptic Wikisource is still currently in development and is available on the Multilingual Wikisource. The following subsections describe the current state of the project, which is subject to change at any point in time.

Short-term

In the Multilingual Wikisource, I am currently concentrating my efforts on:

Long-term

This is a long-term plan in which the language committee makes decisions on the requirements whilst the project participants discuss the project's potentiality and contribute to the project's endeavours.

Phase I: Eligibility - the process in which the project is verified to be eligible for testing based on language support, community involvement, and code compatibility. —completed ✓
Phase II: Universal compatibility - this is done with a universal medium used to incorporate the text for proper rendering and allow for as many people to have the ability to view the project's pages and/or have a chance to actively participate.
This encourages users to engage in the project. —still in progress
Phase III: Compilation - simply put, different varieties of texts are compiled so as to gain an equivalent portion of time periods, authors, and uses.
The current state of such compilations are to be gathered in the priorities page. —planned development/nearing progress
Phase IV: Organization - once all of the previous elements are included in their entirety, the participants as a group organize themselves and the process via discussion and updates (for example, changes made to the priorities to allow for such organizing). —future long-term task
Phase V: Final decision - the final decision is to be decided upon by the Language Committee based on the overall achievements of the previous phases. —end of procedure.
